Directions Volunteer Office Parent Information Center 768 Main Street Worcester, MA. 01610 (508) 799 - 3030 Monday - Friday 8:30 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. following the school year calendar Volunteer work has been an American tradition, beginning in colonial days with volunteer minutemen to our present day school business partnership programs. The growth of volunteerism in our schools over the past several years demonstrates the communities' commitment to respond to the needs of schools and the children who attend them. Because toady there is increased awareness of, and commitment to the needs of our schools, volunteer services have evolved into a systematic activity to offer assistance to the schools. The Worcester Public Schools Volunteer Program places volunteers in all schools and programs to support professional educators wherever requested. Volunteers must complete a volunteer application and CORI check on any individual who wishes to become a school volunteer. Volunteer applications and CORI forms are available in the WPS Volunteer Office. Once this process is completed volunteers are placed in opportunities matched with their skills and schedules.
