Worcester Education Development Foundation
The Worcester Educational Development Foundation, Inc. (WEDF) was founded in 2005 for the sole purpose of supporting students and teachers in the Worcester Public Schools. WEDF, fashioned operationally and structurally after the highly successful Boston Educational Development Foundation, Inc.

The WEDF is similar to hundreds of other organizations across the country that support school districts and will not supplant tax dollars, but rather will provide support for the enhancement of programs and facilities that address the many needs of a large urban school system.

Dr. Stephen Mills is president of WEDF, Mary Mullaney is the clerk and Gregory Bares is treasurer. Directors include Frances Arena, James Caradonio, Maureen Ciccone, Cheryl Delsignore, John Durkin, Lisa Houlihan, Deirdre Loughlin, Johanna Lolax, Stacey Luster, Joseph Macdougall and Mary Mead-Montaque.

The WEDF has obtained its tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service and is seeking support from individuals, corporations and foundations to advance its mission. Contributions may be sent to: Worcester Educational Development Foundation, Inc.,

Room 102, 20 Irving Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
